About the role


The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a key role within our marketing team, supporting our digital marketing strategy and channels to increase brand and product awareness, digital and social marketing conversions for our marine and tourism brands to meet business, customer experience and sales objectives.


Reporting to the South Australian Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving our digital marketing channels and initiatives, including developing, implementing and monitoring of SeaLink SA's websites, development of online content, execution of social media campaigns and monitoring across all social platforms, search engine marketing, and electronic direct marketing campaigns.


About You


A confident and experienced digital marketing professional, you will have engaging writing and content creation skills and a flair for creativity.

You will need clear knowledge and understanding of contemporary digital and social marketing trends, with an ability to engage various audiences to drive visitation to our digital channels and nurture customers through to conversion on SeaLink's products.


Being data-driven, you will also be able to analyse and report on the performance of websites, social media and digital marketing channels and campaigns using Google Analytics, Facebook and other data sources to plan and implement effective marketing strategies.


To be Successful in this role you will need:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications preferably with coursework in digital marketing (or equivalent)
  • Qualifications or experience in Media, Advertising or Journalism (desirable)
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role (preferably in the travel industry or tourism)
  • Experience developing and executing digital and social marketing plans and paid campaigns
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Ability to create engaging content including written, imagery and video
  • Experience managing social media platforms including customer responses
  • Monitor and report on web traffic, interpret website analytics, conversions and goals, ecommence values and KPI's
  • Monthly reporting on digital marketing activities, including results of EDM campaigns
  • Superior accuracy and excellent written communication skills
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to assist with projects which can change on a daily basis, therefore flexibility and the effective management of time is essential
