About the Role

Civil Asset Management (CAM) branch provide high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture).

As Field leader, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the Supervisor to effectively manage allocated staff, plant and equipment and other resources and day-to-day operational issues.

Perform and supervise designated tasks during the construction of various Council assets including roads, concrete structures, hand placement of concrete and various tasks associated with concrete pathway maintenance, disaster related events.
Assist designated Supervisor with supervision and coordination of works, including allocation of assigned staff and other resources.
Assist with ordering of plant and materials as required for allocated projects.
Will be required to check employee timesheets and private plant contractors engaged on projects.
Liaise with Service Delivery Leader or Project Engineer regarding truck and plant resources required when relieving designated Supervisor.

About you

You will possess a Certificate III in Civil Construction and have demonstrated experience and the ability to coordinate the delivery of civil construction and maintenance functions or project-based activities without direct supervision.

You will possess previous experience involving Local Government concrete construction and maintenance (or equivalent) work, including supervisory experience and a current Queensland 'C' driver's licence.
