YOUR ROLE


As a Property Underwriter (Schemes and Facilities), you will use your property underwriting knowledge to determine the acceptability, conditions and pricing of ISR property risks and agree on coverage within business strategy, business treaties, risk appetite, regulatory requirements, product offerings and designated authority level.


You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and your decisions on risk selection and appetite will be critical in delivering on our Insurance Margin and growth and retention targets.

This is a full-time role working from our Melbourne office. The role offers hybrid working conditions that support a mix of working from home and being in the office.


ABOUT YOU

  • A minimum of 2 years' underwriting experience, specifically in property
  • Demonstrable technical knowledge and skills from your previous role/s
  • Knowledge around reinsurance and Industrial Special Risks (ISR) Property Risks is beneficial
  • Have a customer focus with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Insurance qualification at ANZIIF Associate level or Tertiary qualification in related financial field is preferred
