Description

The LGC project will unlock the current bottle neck on the South East Queensland rail network to enable more services to run more frequently and reliably between Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast and is a key infrastructure investment ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

With extensive track upgrades, 9 new train stations, 5 level crossing removals, park 'n' ride upgrades and new active travel pathways, this transformational project will deliver significant benefits to communities, customers and businesses along the 20km corridor.

Reporting to the Communications and Engagement Manager (LGC), you will provide customer-focused advice on communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and activities relating to the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) and Loganlea Station Relocation projects.


Some of your responsibilities will include: - develop, implement, and evaluate complex communication and stakeholder engagement strategies. effectively manage communication and engagement activities delivered by the project contractor. manage and monitor project activities and act on emerging risks and issues. develop and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders. provide ad hoc assistance to project leadership in managing complex and contentious issues and communication and engagement challenges.

A Degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institute in communications or a similar field would be highly regarded in this role, as well as a demonstrated ability to undertake strategic communications or community engagement in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport sector.
