The Firm & The Role
Our client is a long established commercial law firm and they have an outstanding reputation in the commercial and tax space.
This partner and their team act for high net worth individuals, SMEs, ASX-listed companies, global entities, property developers, real estate and construction companies.
Due to new clients and new instructions, our client is looking to appoint an experienced corporate & tax lawyer with at least 2 years post admission experience.
This role will see you having high levels of client and matter responsibility and you have the opportunity to foster strong client relationships.
You will work on major corporate transactions, tax due diligences, provide tax advice, manage tax audits, provide advice on stamp duty and GST, provide advice on restructurings, provide advice on estate and succession planning, provide tax advice on property deals, provide general commercial advice.
You will be stretched intellectually. No two days are the same.About You
- At least 2 years pae experience in the area of tax law with ideally exposure to general commercial law (but not mandatory)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- First rate advising and drafting skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Highlydeveloped organisational skills
- Ability to work independently, but within a teamfocused environment
- Ability to play an important role in the further growth of the team
- Drive, ambition and enthusiasm for practising law that is results driven
