About the role


As part of the Quality, Safety and Risk (QSR) team the role of Quality Safety and Risk Manager works to ensure that HammondCare services have a focus on the quality delivery of care and services and consistently striving for the improvement of care, service and staff safety.


Managers in the QSR team work closely with our services to ensure they are aligned with HammondCare's philosophy, models of care and support the achievement of the service's goals and aims.

The QSR Manager provides leadership for the support for the core business and the service delivery of the organisation.


This role supports our HammondCare at Home service across the Central Coast, which provides a relationship-based approach to home care to allow older people to live at home independently as long as possible.


_ This is a 6 month contract with flexibility of either 4 or 5 days per week. This role is predominately working from home with the requirement to travel to our office at Tuggerah from time to time. Ideally the incumbent will reside on the Central Coast however this is not mandatory. _

Key Responsibilities include

  • Supporting our services in understanding the effectiveness of the operations of their services, alignment with the Mission and Mission in Action and the ongoing trends
  • Maintaining relationships with the services that encourage service management and staff to escalate concerns and a willingness to work with QSR on innovation and improvement
  • Maintaining a customer focus approach and engage stakeholders at every level, ensuring their understanding and support for the organisation's ongoing commitment to quality improvement
  • Undertaking investigation, reviews and audits as scheduled or triggered by changes in service delivery or as requested by the Quality, Safety and Risk Manager
  • Monitoring and analysing data in relation to incidents, feedback and quality activities to support services to make information decisions and have an understanding of the trends occurring within their service
  • Escalating concerns or sentinel events to the Quality, Safety and Risk Head of Region
  • Supporting and assisting services to identify and implement quality improvement projects based on feedback and audit results
  • Supporting services in meeting the requirements of any external regulatory reviews or other external visits and provide onsite support during these events

About You

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
  • At least 2 year's demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse in the Aged Care sector
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Experience and knowledge of Health and/or Residential Aged Care, continuous improvement, quality management and accreditation standards and processes
  • Strong interpersonal, communication & written skills
  • Strong administrative and computer skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve results
