About the role
A key member of the leadership team and reporting to the COO, As General Manager, you will lead operations across diverse programs in Age Care across the Central Coast, Hunter and Mid-North Coast


You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering operational plans and objectives for the regional operations teams, ensuring quality compliance aligned to the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
  • Accountability for the management and leadership of client facing services and ownership of a regional P&L and budget, delivering against KPI's.
  • Providing operational leadership and management (to Office and Community employees) within the Central Coast, Hunter and Mid North Coast Region.
  • Lead care management functions with operational responsibility for the process, culture, people, safety and quality outcomes.
  • Driving service delivery outcomes with oversight of the scheduling and administration functions
  • Contribute to the national Operations Leadership Team and identify best practices processes and roll out national initiatives
  • Contribute and respond to analytics insights with localised operational plans
  • Leading the response to serious client incidents and complaints.
  • Leading and implementing key projects alongside strong change management.
  • Embedding and sponsoring a client and employee centric culture that delivers on myHomecare's What, Why and How.

To have success in the role you will be an established and engaging leader who is able to lead people and teams on a journey of change.

You will bring adaptability and resilience and fresh ideas with your visionary approach. You will also have

  • A relevant qualification in, community services or management, along with demonstrated experience in a similar senior leadership role.
  • A Registered Nurse is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in operational strategy and delivery of programs and services to vulnerable groups, ideally in Home care, however other Aged care or disability experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and imbed change in a collaborative and strengthbased approach
  • Solid awareness and experience in managing operational policies and procedures, ensuring services meet standards and legislative and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated business acumen including financial management and reporting
  • Highlevel organisational skills, with an ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects
  • Advanced communication skills through the development of effective relationships, networks and communication strategies
  • An unrestricted driver's license, as well as being open to undergo preemployment checks including national police check and be fully vaccinated against COVID19 (as per government mandates)
