Job Description:


The Head of School, School of Information and Communication Technology is a key leadership role within the University and Griffith Sciences and is responsible for achieving the School's vision and mission by providing strategic leadership and management of the performance of the School in teaching and learning, research and external engagement. Aligning activity and resources to the strategic objectives of the University is also essential.


The Head of School will work collaboratively with colleagues across the School, Group and beyond in achieving outcomes and will champion a culture of collaboration and innovation, leading to interdisciplinary opportunities in research and learning.

Supporting and developing staff in leveraging opportunities for growth through excellent relationships with stakeholders, including the School's Industry Advisory Board, will also be important.


Qualifications:


About you


This is a significant academic role requiring contemporary leadership ability, a passion for emerging areas of interest to industry and students, and a strong focus on scholarly excellence.

Highly developed communication, resource management and organisational skills should be complemented by a demonstrated ability to engage effectively across the University and externally.

A doctoral qualification in a relevant field, research expertise and proven leadership experience are essential. Industry relevant experience is welcome.
