About the Role:
This role will be a perfect fit for an experienced sales professional - who's already coming from a head-office based position - with proven ability to build strong relationships in the beauty & wellbeing industry sectors.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you'll be responsible for generating strategically-sound new business opportunities for your portfolio.
You'll be tracking new markets, emerging trends, & proposing then developing new strategic partnerships with long-term objectives - delivering mutually profitable, & sustainable, outcomes.
Key responsibilities:

Negotiating: negotiate pricing with clients in line with internal guidelines; keep the team updated on both your progress & timeline of the lead, & provide accurate forecasting of anticipated sales

Progress monitoring: Track progress, lead periodic status checks to report on activity, outcomes, & ROI to identify opportunities & trends. Provide monthly new business analysis incl. conversion rate of submission, leads & overall performance of new accounts. Identify important value drivers & key risks

Process management:Deliver a clear strategy to identify & convert new business - via sound sales methodologies - with a strategic sales plan designed to increase revenue & profit. Identify & introduce new domestic market segments for distribution growth. Work with the sales team to ensure smooth onboarding of new business

Alignment and relationship building: Reach out to your networking relationships with appropriate beauty/wellbeing industry professionals to open doors to new opportunities. Direct efforts & activities for building relations with prospective customers

Research and identify new business opportunities incl. new domestic markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships - or new ways of reaching existing markets. Create a national prospect list in line with target market & category segments
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 yrs.' high level business development experience
- Experience at Management level of Business Development within the pharmacy (e.g. CWH & Priceline) & grocery channels (e.g. Coles & Woolworths)
- Ability to develop new business initiatives
- Strong experience in assessing business opportunities
- Price negotiation prior to final agreement
- Critical reasoning & analytical skills
- P&L, budget & forecasting experience
- Commercial acumen
- Highly developed written/verbal communication & presentation skills
- Proven project management & delivery skills
- Demonstrable strength in strategic thinking
- Proven experience delivering quality outcomes on multiple tasks & projects, within budget & planned timeframes
- Positive, solutionsoriented "cando" mentality
