We are looking for a dedicated
Accounts Payable Escalation Officer to join our friendly team at our Headquarters in
Broadbeach on the beautiful Gold Coast, on a
fixed-term 6 month contract.



More about this role:


Reporting to the Manager Payables, this role is responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of vendor invoices by the offshore processing team.

In addition to this, you will be accountable for resolving escalated queries from internal and external customers and participating in the preparation of various other Accounts Payable related processes and reports.


In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:

  • Address discrepancies and inconsistencies with key stakeholders.
  • Investigate, manage and resolve complex billing enquiries.
  • Manage data exceptions from Converga to QAD and JDE.
  • Train, mentor and monitor the offshore processing team to ensure that all transactional processing and statement reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure costs to be charged to airline customers are provided to the Accounts Receivable team biweekly.
  • Ensure queries are raised for out of balance amounts on supplier statements, and all copies of invoices are received in the current month.
  • Liaise with Procurement and Suppliers to query pricing.
  • Ensure electronic scanning and other space saving methods of storage and retrieval are processed accurately.
  • Assist with projects, including the implementation of software and provide training and support where needed.
  • Participate in month end close, reconciliation of GRNI accounts, data analysis and cleansing, or other assistance as required by the Finance team.

What do you need to be successful in the role?

  • The ability to prioritise and work in a fastpaced and highvolume environment.
  • Possess a very high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
