The Library is primarily responsible for providing information resources and services to the academic community in support of learning, teaching and research.

The Library provides a friendly, engaging and professional service, focused collections, training and assistance in the location and use of information resources and an environment conducive to study.


The Digital Experience Team, within the Digital & Research Services Team, coordinates the management of the Library's digital systems and platforms, communications, and develops content and interactive resources for the Library website and other platforms.


The Role- Lead and manage the staff of the Digital Experience team.- Manage and develop the library website by coordinating all aspects of design and creation of appropriate and effective web content- Coordinate the design, production and distribution of digital and printed communications and signage for the library, including social media- Consult with other sections of the Library and the University, to understand requirements, problems, and opportunities to ensure the development of effective services- Coordinate the management of Library systems, including the Library Management System, Reading Lists System, and Discovery Interfaces to ensure effective and efficient processes across the library- Act as the primary liaison with library technology vendors in relation to their day-to-day operability, improvements, and development paths- Participate in the development of the Library Operational Plan and lead projects associated with the Plan- Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with clients, staff and other stakeholders through constructive interaction in order to achieve work goals.

What you'll bring to this role- University degree with at least 4 years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and relevant expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team and to plan, organise and set priorities Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of current Web technologies, standards, and protocols- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to make presentations- Strong client focus and understanding of the needs of a diverse client group- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Demonstrated knowledge of and interest in information technology developments as related to library services and activities
