What's your role?


Reporting to the Lead Experience Designer, the User Experience Designer is responsible for designing compelling digital experiences and interactions for our customers, aligning design consistency and quality across Bupa Health Insurance's digital channel, and driving a culture of continuous improvement in the UX team.

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.


What will your day look like?

  • Ensure all design is accurate and in line with Bupa design guidelines.
  • Coach other team members on the endtoend experience design process and provide constructive feedback where required.
  • Validate and translate concepts into beautiful digital experiences in close collaboration with UX Researchers, Designers, Writers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering and other experts across the business.


As a User Experience Designer within the Digital Health Insurance team, you'll help shape the next chapter in how our customers interact digitally with Bupa to provide them healthier, happier lives.


What will you bring?

  • 3+ years of web and native (iOS/Android) platform digital design (essential)
  • A firm grasp of accessibility, responsive design, native standards, common UI patterns and usability best practices
  • Knowledge of design thinking methodologies, including Ethnography research method, workshop facilitation and various ideations methodologies.
  • Experienced in user testing remote or online, range of UX research methods, including prototype testing, concept testing, contextual inquiry, surveys, competitor analysis, IA, and sitemaps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information and ideas briefly and concisely for a broad audience of stakeholders
  • Expert knowledge of modern design tools (Figma, Framer, Protopie, After Effects, Lottie), how to work with complex component libraries and the willingness to adopt new tools as needed
  • Demonstrated customercentric mindset; building a user experience with the customer in mind at every step of the journey
