About the role
The New Equipment (NE) Sales Consultant works within the NE Sales team and is responsible for the growth of sales and the number of units in their region.
Reporting to the New Equipment Manager, the NE Sales Consultant is required to sell the Electra range of products and services into their allocated market.
They will build and maintain excellent relationships with architects, builders and consultants throughout the area and network with Electra Local Representatives to obtain sales leads and maximise prospects.
The New Equipment Sales Consultant will proactively seek sales opportunities by monitoring industry and commercial publications and websites, initiating contact with new customers and leveraging existing relationships.
Key responsibilities- Generate New Equipment sales leads from construction lead indicators, industry reports, tenders, personal sales research and customer networks.- Determine client requirements and design parameters quickly in order to configure Electra products/solutions and be able to assist in the development of the future construction projects to maximise Electra's opportunity to secure new business.- Develop and implement strategy to maximise Electra's opportunity for acceptance of proposals.- Conduct negotiations with clients, gaining progressive support from local management and Support Departments depending on the size of the project.- Interact with senior management within Electra to develop sales strategies, value propositions and manage the sales through Electra's sales processes.
Key working relationships- Reports directly to the New Equipment Manager Electra- Work closely with Electra Local Representatives.- Work closely with other Electra Branch Managers, Field Supervisors and their direct reports.- Liaise with functional departmental managers and NEBU staff.- Represent the Company in its relationships with designated customers (including Architects, Consultants, Builders, etc.), trade associations and industry groups.
What you will need to be successful- Sales/Marketing or Business Studies qualifications (desirable)- 3-5 Sales experience within Lift or Engineering industry will be preferred.- Able to read construction drawings- Hold a valid driver's license.- Strong verbal and communication skills. Have exceptional time management skills and possess strong organization abilities.- Highly organized and structured, able to deal with multiple tasks and competing priorities.- Excellent attention to details and is results driven.
