Your New Opportunity:


We are currently seeking an energetic and customer focussed individual to coordinate Penske's Boxer Powerpack project (Land 400 Phase 2), Boxer Powerpack through life support activities, other Defence related services and future Defence projects based in Wacol, Queensland.


About You:

You will have a proven technical and/or logistics background either the marine, mining, defence or relevant equipment manufacturing/distribution industries. Wide technical and customer service experience with minimum 5 years is highly preferable. Customer relationship management and technical proficiency are highly regarded skills required to be successful in this role.


Your skills will include:

  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Outlook, Excel, Project, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Experience in Heavy Vehicle, Mining, Defence or similar industry with service experience coordinating key customer accounts. A mechanical background is desirable;
  • High level interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships in a multiteam environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Ability to process and handle large documents within a contracting environment;
  • Ability to achieve and maintain Baseline Defence Department Security Clearance. This does require the incumbent to be an Australian Citizen;
  • For dual citizens, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable to this role and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Defence culture.
  • Ex-Army and Air Force personnel with Technical, Mechanical or Logistics background are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities will include:


  • Reporting to the Project Manager, coordinate the Boxer Powerpack project, liaising with internal and external relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • Routine project administration including compiling monthly project reports tracking financial, quality, project risks and schedule.
  • Internal Penske coordination and stakeholder liaison on assembly parts and components to the production Powerpack assembly area.
  • Liaison with project customer, regular project meeting attendance, identifying and resolving Bill of Materials, Work Instruction and process issues.
  • Liaise with Defence customer maintenance administrators to support and deliver Defence repair order works utilizing the National Penske network.
  • Generate quotes for Adhoc services.
  • Ensure effective liaison between Defence customers and our internal operations for Parts requirements.
  • Be the point of contact for Defence customers to coordinate and resolve any required warranty issues.
  • Review and monitor progress for the provision of services in accordance with agreed completion dates / milestones and review and monitor quality and workmanship.
  • Coordinate closely with; Service, Sales and Parts Departments to meet Defence customer base demands for goods and services offered by Penske.
  • Coordination of work completion certifications and other specific information required by Rheinmetall, the CoA and other current and future Defence Customers.
  • Ability to undertake regular Interstate and some international travel will be required.
