GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries.

Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.


This role will initially be based in our Ascot Office and then transfer to the West Musgrave Project Site, with a roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.

On the WMP site, GRES is responsible for the construction and commissioning.

It is expected that you would be an expert in QA/QC inspections with a thorough working knowledge of AS3000 and related codes and standards as applicable to Western Australia within an E&I installation


Your responsibilities would be ( but not limited to )

  • Ensure goods receiving inspections are carried out at Site as required
  • Verify the equipment stored in compliance with the preservation requirements
  • Ensure the issuing and distribution of equipment, parts and materials for Site activities is managed and documented in an orderly and timely fashion
  • Involved in the development of work packs and ensure that they are carried out to site specification
  • Ensure all Site ITPs and FIRs are carried out, witnessed, signed off, logged and filed
  • Conduct routine quality surveillance of activities, including reporting and tracking all action items to closure maintain the surveillance program
  • Oversight of E&I Nonconformance report (NCRs), ensure timely disposition.
  • Raise NCRs as required
  • Completions management
  • Assist with planning & coordinate testing activities
  • Ownership of electrical construction verification test sheet documentation
  • Ensure Site Document control is being properly maintained (site drawing revision management)
  • Responsible for the issuing of construction verification certs / notices of energies
  • Document nonconformances and recommend corrective actions
  • Approval of civil contractor earthing and conduit installation documentation
  • Ensure all inspection, measuring and test equipment used at Site are correctly calibrated with certificates available and included in MDRs where required
  • Support the team expectations around Operational Excellence and the Safety Quality Leadership Team

What you will bring:


  • Current WA Electrical Workers License
  • A thorough working knowledge of AS3000 and related codes and standards as applicable to Western Australia within an E&I installation
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Familiar with ISO9001 requirements
  • Basic computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel
  • Good knowledge and proven ability in E&I installation techniques with a good understanding of Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (EEHA) Inspection processes
  • Experience working on mineral resources construction projects
  • Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
