About the opportunity

This role leads the P8 Poseidon Support Services team within the Technical Support Services (TSS) Business Line across the P8 platform.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for leading and managing a close knit Edinburgh based team of 14 Technical Assessors, Technical Writers, MRD Analysts and Technical Officers who are responsible for support to the P8 Program, integrated with Boeing Defence Australia.

The team lead is focused on resolving high level service issues using strong analytical, and strategic problem-solving skills to manage conflicting priorities in a matrix organisation.

You will work to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the P8 Program as part of the broader Support Services function.

This role focuses on driving standardisation, simplification and optimisation of processes, whilst ensuring strict compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience that would assist in this role include:

  • Technical experience in aircraft maintenance engineering / support in the aviation industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of interdependencies between maintenance and other airworthiness management and support activities such as design engineering, technical services and integrated logistics support.

About the team

The Airbus in Australia Pacific Support Services team is responsible for providing safe, compliant and on time Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAM) services to internal business lines as the Airbus Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA), Defence Aviation Safety Regulation (DASR) Part M - Continuing Airworthiness Management - Service Organisation (CAM-SO).

These services are provided to various Australian Defence Force (ADF) Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation's (CAMO's).
