    About the opportunity

    The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the control of the external reporting processes through each of the key phases of the Group's financial reporting calendar.


    This includes but is not limited to:

    Planning:

    Manage the planning of reporting requirements including external audit timetables and agreeing pro-forma financial statements, relevant Audit & Risk Committee papers and the taxation timetable.


    Preparation:
    Develop and maintain reporting packs to satisfy the informational needs of the external auditor and taxation reporting/documentation requirements.

    Consolidation:

    Manage the consolidation and preparation process of all external financial and taxation reporting obligations including preparation of the financial report, ASX Appendices and a supporting reference file.


    Post Audit Review:

    Work closely with the external audit team, and Finance Team personnel to identify and implement the efficiencies and effectiveness of the financial reporting function.

    Undertake ad-hoc projects as requested - e.g.

    modelling of board reporting requirements based on statutory consolidation model, testing of Bank Covenants, profiling of data, accounting and taxation research etc.

    Day to Day provision of technical accounting and taxation support and advice to the Chief Financial Officer and other members of the finance team, and/or People & Culture for employee related matters.

    Develop required accounting policies as identified through the audit process or as required by new accounting developments.
    About you

    We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Manager who is looking to make an impact on the team and our business.

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
    Experience preparing complex financial statements, in a listed public environment, ideally in the engineering services sector.

    CPA or CA qualified with a minimum of 6 years' experience in a complex accounting environment with multiple entities in 3 jurisdictions.

    Excellent understanding of Australian Accounting standards to produce financial reporting along with commercial acumen.
    Use of Workday (preferred but not essential)
    Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines
    Ability to lead meetings and ensure outcomes are met and actions delivered.

    Ability to demonstrate a practical commitment to exceeding customer expectations through anticipating and understanding their needs - internal and external focus.
