WHAT'S THE ROLE ABOUT?


We are looking for an organised and motivated leader to join our organisation to deliver excellent services in our Supported Employment Enterprise, Unisson Works.


Unisson Works employs and supports people with a disability in our commercial business to provide quality products and services to our valued customers.

For Unisson Works it is equally important that we provide a quality product for our commercial customers and support people with an intellectual disability to develop new skills and a real sense of purpose through employment.

The Client Support Supervisor creates the conditions for employment that ensures we deliver a high-quality product for our customers.

The role creates these conditions with a focus on shaping the workplace as an environment where people are well supported, as well as have opportunities for vocational growth and diverse working conditions.

This role will also ensure the ongoing viability and success of the service by responding to changes in the funding landscape, as well as client and market demand.

You will require a strong background in a similar role, or with working as a leader in the disability sector, and be able to add value with your leadership skills, innovative thinking and collaborative approach to leading teams.


THE ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


  • Develop operational plans with the Business Manager of Unisson Works to achieve service and financial objectives.
  • Provide day to day operational supervision and leadership of client services for Unisson Works,
  • Ensure work performance, practice and the delivery of services provide opportunities for skill building and growth for supported employees and is consistent with the NDIS guidelines and legislation as well as Unisson values, policies and procedure.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of quality in our commercial products and services,
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand Unisson Works, grow our customer base and diversify the range of commercial opportunities and contracts.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of community services and business, including channels for client growth.
  • Ensure robust systems and business processes are in place and followed, to increase operational quality, safety and efficiency.
  • Support the management of operations with the Business Manager including quotes, budget management, staff support and reporting and new client intake.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:


  • Previous leadership experience
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in relevant field (Social Enterprise, Australian Disability Enterprise
  • ADE, or similar disability service)
  • Commitment to the values, vision and mission of the organisation including leadership and implementation
  • Sound knowledge of general business practice
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
  • Outstanding planning and organising skills demonstrating initiative when working without direct supervision
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop these skills in others
  • Emotional intelligence, resilience and physical capacity to perform the work required
  • An understanding of an adherence to working within personal and professional boundaries in a multicultural environment
  • Initiative and selfmotivation
  • Personal and professional integrity
  • Sound understanding of the NDIS and funding mechanisms.
