NEPEAN Conveyors (a division of NEPEAN) provides fully engineered turnkey conveying and materials handling solutions, from concept to commissioning for some of the world's largest mining companies.

Established in 1985, it manufactures and markets conveyor components including pulleys, idlers, rapid advance-rapid retreat components and drive-heads, and provides on-site installation, maintenance, and relocation of conveyor installations.


Our Opportunity
To support our ongoing growth, NEPEAN Conveyors NSW are currently seeking a 3D Mechanical Designer to join our team. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in our design and manufacturing facility in Unanderra, NSW.


Your duties will include however but not limited to:

  • Creating Technical Drawings at all levels i.e., Layouts, Arrangements, Assemblies, and Details
  • 3D modelling and sketching up designs using input from engineers and senior designers on the team.
  • Calculate factors like tolerances, dimensioning, weldability, and ease of assembly.
  • Create designs in line with company procedures, regulations, and client standards.
  • Assemble project deliverables.
  • Assist with field and manufacturing problems.

The right person

  • Appropriate qualification/training.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor).
  • 5+ years' experience in a design role or related experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Belt Conveyor Design experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
