About the role

Reporting into the Senior Portfolio Manager, as the Procurement Portfolio Manager you will develop and manage a Category Management team of procurement professionals across multiple direct categories including but not limited to MRO, Civil Services, Chemicals.

Within this leadership focused position, you will:

Lead a high performing Category Management team to deliver category strategies and sourcing projects.
Develop a deep understanding of Sydney Waters overall needs within the portfolio of categories to be able the effective management of category strategies
Build and maintain open and transparent stakeholder relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
At a Category level ensure alignment to Sydney Waters Strategic objectives to deliver best value for money for customers.

As a successful applicant, you will have

Relevant degree qualification e.g. Procurement & Supply, Business, Engineering, or experience deemed equivalent
Professional qualification (MCIPS preferred but not essential) and/or Supply Chain qualification (APICS, MCILT)
Proven people leadership experience within a procurement function
Demonstrated experience managing significant projects and procurement categories
Demonstrated experience in category management, strategic sourcing, contract management and SRM in a large complex organisation
