Our client, one of Australia's fastest growing Financial Services organisations, is seeking a Head of Fund Reporting - Superannuation to join their team on a daily rate contract for 12 months + 12 month extension.

You will ensure that timely and accurate financial control and external reporting requirements are delivered to management and regulators within agreed timeframes and conform to best practice.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Managing the financial reporting obligation and regulatory delivery of the entities
  • Providing sound financial support and insights to enable the FLT to make critical business decisions
  • Play a role in the formulation of Finance strategy
  • Managing the external auditor relationship and ensuring the Funds are compliant with regulatory reporting and accounting standards
  • Managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Co-Presenting results of the products to Boards
  • Recruitment, training, mentoring and development of employees
  • Overseeing the financial control and reporting aspect of the Funds
  • Managing and tracking accounting information
  • Reviewing all formal internal policies and procedures
  • Assistance with trusts reporting and governance (and overall team governance and deliverables) as and when required.

  • High level of understanding of accounting and tax principles affecting the wealth industry
  • High level of planning, time management, organisational skills, team development and creating a diverse and supportive culture
  • Ability to support business strategy and objectives
  • Development of automation and simplification of processes
  • High level of experience in superannuation / funds management / financial service industry


  • Investment expertise

  • Excellent level of knowledge about asset management industry, superannuation industry and different securities and financial products and how they support investor goals

  • Excellent level of client service skills and client first thinking to achieve finance team objectives
  • Familiarity with financial regulations
  • Excellent level of financial laws and procedures in order to protect the products and ensure that they are making legal and sound decisions

  • Documentation skills

  • Excellent level of detailed financial documentation and be able to craft and edit documents while ensuring accuracy

  • Excellent level project management skills and experience to ensure alignment and consistency of reporting obligations and simplification initiatives
