Your responsibilities will include:


  • The Security & Facilities Advisor will support both Company and Program level security requirements. This will require liaison with internal stakeholders, Program Managers, customers, and Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) Security Managers, and Information System Security Managers (ISSM) along with other Defence Industry security organisations.
    Duties
  • Maintaining Security across the Classified Facilities in the Williamtown regions, ensure all approved local security policies and procedures are adhered to across those facilities.
  • Where assigned supporting all contractual security requirements for administration or processing of Special Access Program (SAP) requirements.
  • Providing operational security advice to local site management and Employees


Specifically perform the role and duties of an assigned Security Advisor (SA) for Physical Security as follows and as defined in the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).

The SA role also involves performing a high level of transactional tasks as follows:


  • Conduct regular security awareness training to ensure the workforce is adhering to synchronised changes as delivered from the customer and program requirements.
  • Issue and control of assigned facility access ID's and Passes.

About you:


  • Essential
  • Combined industry and Defence experience associated with an engineering, technical or maintenance environment.
  • Have experience in performing and executing both Physical Security and requirements associated with Information Assurance Security and controls as defined in the DSPF and the Information Security Manual (ISM).
  • Experience with Type 1A and commercial or equivalent alarm systems and monitored access controls and systems.
  • Completion and acceptance by the Defence Security & Vetting Agency (DS&VS) for Security Advisor training.
  • DS&VS Assessing and Protecting Official Information Course
Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred in the Security domain)
  • Relevant certifications or Professional security memberships where held
  • Significant experience working to Defence Industrial Security Program (DISP) requirements, working to Security principles, publications concepts, practices and standards as applied to both Defence and Defence Industry Companies and Suppliers.

Special Requirements:


  • Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a CoA NV1 security clearance.
  • Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
