This is an excellent entry-level opportunity if you looking to commence (or re-start) your career in a laboratory as full training will be provided.

Based in the Ipswich area, this permanent full-time role is primarily responsible for assisting laboratory technicians in the sorting and preparing of DNA extractions. Duties include;

• Assist technicians in preparing samples for analysis using a variety of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
• Record and maintain laboratory notebooks, archives, and sample or specimen repository
• Assist with general laboratory tasks, including cleaning, organization and logging incoming inventory
• Adhere to high level of compliance with data entry and sample management

• Accurate keyboarding skills.
• Confidence learning and using computers (including basic skills in MS Excel and MS Word).
• Tertiary qualification in chemistry and/or science-related field (desirable however not mandatory)

Working from state-of-the-art facilities in the Ipswich area, on-site car parking is available and an Award wage will apply for this entry-level opportunity. Full-time hours (38 hours/week) will be rostered Monday to Friday with a preference for an earlier start.
