Your new role

As the Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Law - Indigenous Fellow, you will work within the Faculty of Law in the College of Arts, Law, and Education.

In this balanced academic role, you will deliver across teaching, research and service.

Teaching includes scholarly curriculum design and development, and teaching and assessment delivery in Law units, including those with significant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content.

You will actively engage in research and in-service activity that enhances engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and knowledge.

In working with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, you will make an effective and sustained contribution to the University in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.

The Faculty of Law has a long and distinguished history and strong reputation nationally and internationally for high-quality research and success with competitive grant funding.

With strong engagement with the community, the Faculty helps to shape the law reform agenda, through hosting the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute.

It seeks to promote a broad-based student experience, with an internationalised curriculum, including exposure to and opportunity to participate in social justice and community service activities.

The Faculty provides a supportive, vibrant and collegiate environment, rich in diversity, promoting a high-performance culture for students and staff and strongly engaged with the community.
