The Admissions team is a dynamic, hardworking team, committed to providing the best possible customer service in a very fast paced environment.

The team comprises of a senior admissions officer, a senior study abroad officer, 5 customer service officers and 5 student advisors who all report to the Manager, Admissions.


About the role


This role provides information and customer service to clients and stakeholders of the NSW government schools international student program and supports the admissions team.


  • Liaise with schools and external stakeholders to arrange placement in schools and homestay families.
  • Make assessments and decisions on individual cases based on departmental policies and federal and state government legislation related to International students.

About you

  • Fluency in at least one Asian language is desired.
  • Experience in customer service roles dealing with nonEnglish speaking overseas customers.
  • Experience in International Education will be highly regarded.
  • Willingness to seek guidance and direction from experienced staff.
  • Be proactive and selfmotivated.

Essential requirements of the role
Hold a valid clearance to work with Children (WWCC) for paid employment.


Key knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
