Role:
Supported by the logistics team, as well as training and HR functions, you will capitalise on your industry experience and knowledge to review and assess all current WH&S procedures & policies in place.
The key purpose of this role is to identify areas in need of improvement and implement the necessary changes to ensure the highest level of safety and compliance is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage OH&S policies, procedures and compliance across the distribution centre and rectify safety issues on site ie. this is a hands on role
- Perform risk assessments, regular safety inspections, and monitoring compliance.
- Implement, and monitor health & safety plans to improve
- Work with DC managers to identify, plan and implement WHS initiatives, policies and systems through continuous improvement.
- Review relevant legislative changes and make appropriate changes to Policies and procedures and to ensure compliance
- Ensure that required personal protective equipment, is being used on site according to regulations.
- Investigate incidents and unsafe working conditions, the identifying possible causes and recommending remedial action;
- Conduct training sessions for all levels of management and employees in best practices and legislation
About You:
- Have demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of safety protocols relating to forklift driving, pick packing, transportation, basic storage & freight handling
- Have a relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety
- Experienced in conducting safety audits in warehouse/distribution centre environments
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well within a team as well as motivate fellow teammembers
- Demonstrated ability to implement site safety procedures, and training programs.
- Experience in emergency response planning
- Proven change and project management skills.
- Experience in Safety Auditing, with experience conducting audits desirable
