Council's small and highly skilled Communications team provides communications, engagement and marketing support and advice to teams across the organisation.

The team is responsible for the development and distribution of a range of digital and print communications and marketing materials and campaigns to positively promote Council's programs, events and initiatives, as well as delivering on a range of community engagement activities to ensure our community are consulted on key projects, opportunities and issues that affect them.


About the role:

We're seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Officer to join our highly productive team.

This position will be responsible for the preparing and implementing creative marketing campaigns and concepts to promote a range of activities, services and projects, and being a champion for our brand.


You will assist with monitoring and reporting on our content and campaigns, whilst working with staff across the organisation to develop marketing concepts to promote Council's events, activities and projects across a range of channels.

Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to effectively promote Council and meet the needs of our customers is essential.

We are looking for a creative whiz that has experience in a range of digital platforms and tools, including social media, websites, analytics and Google platforms.

We are also looking for someone with basic design skills and knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud to help out our design team from time to time.

Some out of hours work may be required for this position.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Design, Communications, Digital Media or associated fields, and/or extensive relevant jobrelated experience.
  • Experience in developing content and campaigns for online, digital, multimedia and social media channels.
  • Demonstrated experience providing creative briefs to design production people/team.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to write copy to appeal to a range of audiences
  • Welldeveloped organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Current Class C driver's licence
