Your role


This role sits within the Pro Vice Chancellor, Student Experience portfolio which includes Student Success, Indigenous Education, Chaplaincy, Libraries, Student Life and Wellbeing.


This position reports to the Manager, Student Life (Sydney) and/or Deputy Director, Student Life (Fremantle) and is responsible for guiding a broad range of student services and activities to enhance student life at the University.


Key responsibilities:


  • Oversee nationally various aspects of student engagement, with a focus on organising and facilitating student led events and online communication to students in collaboration with the Communication Office.
  • Design, develop and build online platforms for various student experience initiatives, including involvement in emerging software and app development.
  • Evaluate and present data by building survey and reports for the purpose of student engagement initiatives to support informed decision making and service improvements.
  • Assist the broader Student Life team in the coordination of Orientation both online and on campus, including liaising with Faculties and advising on key student engagement activities.
  • Develop digital enhancement strategies for programs in the Student Life portfolio including volunteering, mentoring, Student Association, International Support and Clubs & Societies.

About you:


  • Possession of a degree qualifications, with relevant work experience in a similar role and/or a tertiary qualification with extensive relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated strong technical computing skills and experience using various online and social media platforms in order to communicate to a wider audience.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, solve problems, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary issues in the higher education sector.
