THE COMPANY


Space Machines Company (SMC) is an Australian start-up developing in-space logistics and transportation capabilities to cost-effectively insert small satellites into desired low earth orbits (LEO), geostationary earth orbits (GEO) and lunar orbits.

SMC vehicles will grow in future to maintain, refuel, repair and decommission satellites and other spacecraft.


THE ROLE
Space Machines Company is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant in Sydney.

As an Executive Assistant for a space startup in Sydney, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and other executives.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the executives are supported in their day-to-day operations, while also playing a critical role in ensuring the office runs smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to the executive team, including drafting and editing correspondence, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Organize meetings, including logistics, materials, and followup, and ensure that all participants are wellprepared.
  • Coordinate and plan company events, such as team building activities and company celebrations, and ensure that they are executed smoothly.
  • Manage office operations, including ordering supplies, overseeing cleaning services, and ensuring that all equipment is maintained in good condition.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, including posting job ads and scheduling interviews.
Profile

  • A degree in business administration, management, or a related field, and/or relevant experience in executive support, office management, or operations management.
  • A knack for staying organized, communicating effectively, and managing your time like a pro.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite if you know your way around the galaxy, even better
  • A passion for space and a desire to contribute to a company that's taking humanity to new heights.
  • A funloving attitude and a sense of humor that's out of this world
