Role Details
The Finance Officer, Business Partnership is a role within Finance and is accountable to the Finance Business Partner for:

Providing a range of financial and accounting services which support the finance business partnering function;
Contributing to financial monitoring by providing timely and accurate information, analysis, reports and advice;
Supporting the Finance Business Partnership team to achieve business unit objectives; and
Undertaking minor finance related projects within the Department of Human Services (DHS).

Key Outcomes/Accountabilities:

Provide professional advice and support regarding financial management processes, procedures and reporting.
Monitor monthly financial activity and workforce information and provide initial analysis of key performance indicators.
Contribute to the delivery of a range of professional financial accounting services in accordance with statutory and policy requirements.
Research and investigate management accounting issues to support the provision of advice to a range of internal stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of financial documentation, reports and briefings as required.
Undertake data entry and quality assurance activities to maintain the integrity of systems supporting the financial management function.
Support team members and undertake duties as required to meet team objectives.

Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department.

The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.

Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Tertiary qualification in accounting or related financial/business discipline is desirable.

About the Business

Finance and Business Services leads the monitoring and management of the department's financial data, execute a range of financial authorisations and compliance, provide strategic financial advice, lead financial reform projects, and oversee assets and facilities, fleet, records management and internal audit services.

The division is a key component in ensuring our department is compliant and accountable, and ultimately helps enable us to deliver effective services and supports for the South Australian community

Role Status:
Term up to 20/12/2024

Salary Range:
$75,430-$79,070 (ASO4)
