About the role
We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Information Management team based in Perth.

You'll be responsible for collecting important information from our data base and engaging with key site stakeholders to develop high quality maintenance procedures for site personnel to perform maintenance tasks safely.

Reporting to the Supervisor Technical Writer, you will:

  • Play a key role in the way we organise, store and surface our corporate knowledge, which is crucial to the operations of our sites and assets
  • Focus on using critical information and corporate knowledge to provide unique insights and drive improvements within the business
  • Be responsible for building and fostering relationships with key site stakeholders at our operations in the Pilbara.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to meetings with stakeholders at various levels
  • Aid in the development of maintenance procedures for Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM)
  • Play a vital role in consolidating information to uncover leading practice

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Respect for others and an allinclusive mindset
  • Exposure or experience in mining within operating or maintaining mobile or fixed plant equipment, drill and blast, engineering, or a trade background to aid the development and improvement of documentation
  • Extensive experience in Technical Writing and / or a strong desire to learn information management systems, processes and standards
  • Willingness to work to and enforce governancebased processes and standards
  • Strong ability to quickly grasp process concepts and make them easily understandable in text and illustrations
  • Excellent communications skills, coupled with the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to work autonomously at times, as well as actively participate in team environments
  • Organised, methodical, able to troubleshoot, and accustomed to working to deadlines
