Lead a team coordinating civic events to celebrate & promote the City of Parramatta
Hybrid Model | 35hr week | $121,735 to $134,009p.a. plus super

About the role

As the Team Leader for Civic Events and Protocol, you will play a crucial role in organising and overseeing a wide range of civic events, ensuring that all protocols are followed to the highest standard. Reporting to the Manager, Events and Festivals, you will lead a team responsible for coordinating civic events that celebrate and promote the City of Parramatta, liaising with various stakeholders, and upholding the organisation's reputation for excellence and professionalism. This role will develop and oversee the implementation of event protocols across the organisation, ensuring adherence through the creation of guidelines and standards.

About you

5+ years proven experience in organising and managing civic events, preferably in a leadership capacity.
Strong understanding of event protocols and etiquette, with the ability to uphold high standards of professionalism.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Exceptional organisational, project and budget management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management and development.
Commitment to adherence of Council policies and procedures.
Tertiary qualifications in event management, project management, or related discipline or significant experience in protocol management in a project lead capacity.

What's on offer
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $121,735 to $134,009 plus 11% superannuation.
