About You


The Events Advisor will contribute to the success of the RMIT by supporting the University Communications team and key stakeholders to deliver best practice face-to-face, hybrid and digital event production and event management, that creates transformational experiences for all our audiences.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Events, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end development and management of strategic and major university events, supporting enterprise-wide campaigns as well as taking responsibility for smaller-scale events.


This role will work closely with stakeholders at all levels across the University to identify event requirements and requires strong planning, project management and stakeholder management skills.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Proven experience in supporting the planning, production and delivery of high-profile events
  • A customer focussed approach, committed to the delivery of highquality outcomes for stakeholders and audiences
  • Proven ability to coordinate event suppliers and external contractors to meet deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain administration systems and to develop and implement innovative and creative solutions
  • Experience in supporting hybrid event delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills including ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels to establish strong effective networks
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated passion for delivering creative and impactful experiences
