Ausdrill is currently seeking an experienced
Site Based Maintenance Superintendent to become apart of the maintenance team in a leadership role at one of the company's largest and longest standing projects.


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager/ Project Manager your primary function will be Provision of professional support, ensuring Plant and Equipment serviced and maintained in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards in alignment with the Perenti Mining Asset Management Plan.


Key accountabilities and duties will include but not limited to**:

  • Support, lead and maintain a strong safety focus and culture with the site maintenance team.
  • Demonstrate a strong skill set in heavy mobile equipment maintenance that focuses on safe and effective teamwork and work execution.
  • Work closely with the project operational team inline with our guiding principles to ensure all assets are maintained to the highest standards inline with our asset management policy and work to achieve targeted project reliability and availability metrics.
  • Track and adhere to plant commercial operating budgets and approved capital component programm.
  • Work closely with the onsite and centralized plant planning team to ensure planned component change outs are conducted as per scheduled plan and condition monitoring strategies are implored as required.
  • Conduct incident investigations when and provide technical knowledge when required.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation & statutory related information is kept up to date and maintained in the relevant systems.

What Qualifications / Experience Do I Need?**- Trade certificate; heavy diesel mechanical or mechanical engineering qualification

  • Minimum 5 years' asset maintenance and management in a mining environment.
  • Experience in maintaining a large drill fleet and support equipment with a good knowledge of highpressure air, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Experience in coordinating and implementing shutdown works, scheduled component change outs and service scheduling.
  • Good understanding of Asset Management and maintenance principles.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Sound interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders internal and external.
