Position Information
Located in the Girraween network, Northmead Public School opened in 1924 with current student enrolment numbers of 645. The school has a diverse population with approximately 50% from a language background other than English.

The school undertaking initiatives for the Strategic Improvement Plan, including the Implementation Progress Monitoring process, to bring about continual improvement in learning, teaching and leading for every student, every staff and community member.

Specific Selection Criteria

Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education with experience using the Oliver Library Management System. (Refer special notes below).
Demonstrated experience or capacity to plan, differentiate and implement teaching and learning programs, ICT, Public Speaking and Debating, integrating creative thinking and digital literacy.
Ability to create, manage and nurture a thriving, innovative and future focused learning environment that instils a love of literature and welcomes students, teachers and the school community.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively in teams and contribute positively to the whole school culture.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.
