Workforce Development Coordinators (WDCs) play a critical role in identifying, meeting and adapting to the needs of employers.

The placement of job seekers into work depends on developing relationships of trust with employers based on providing high-quality services.

WDCs build these relationships of trust, operating at both a broad industry liaison level and a one-on-one sales level.

Workforce Development Coordinators also play a crucial role in building strong working relationships with providers of community services. That helps job seekers overcome barriers and develop the skills required to join the workforce.

This includes providers of training and education courses, transport-related services, mental health services, and specialised services for people with disability.
