About The Role
Thiess is currently looking for experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitters to join our exciting projects across QLD.
We currently have opportunities available at the following sites:
- Curragh North
- Blackwater QLD
- Lake Vermont
- Dysart QLD
- QCoal Northern Hub
- Collinsville QLD
- Peak Downs
- Moranbah QLD
- Caval Ridge
- Moranbah QLD
- Olive Downs Complex
- Moranbah QLD
Diesel Fitter, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, some duties may include:
- Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
- Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high regard
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computerbased systems
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
- Conduct required inspection to maximise equipment utilisation
About You
To be successful in this role you are required to have:
- Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or relevant equivalent
- Posttrade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry
- Experience in general Maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment
