Position Information:

Ryde Secondary College (Years 7-12) has an enrolment of 1437 students, including 67% students from a language background other than English.

It is a comprehensive high school with an academically selective cohort, an additional class for gifted and talented students, regular classes in each cohort and a support unit.

The college has a strong focus on quality teaching, differentiated learning, Cultures of Thinking, collaborative teacher professional learning, student voice, social justice programs and a creative and positive learning environment.

The college has extensive whole school, extracurricular, sporting and community partnership programs.

Selection Criteria:

Approval to teach Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) and Engineering Studies.
Demonstrated capacity to work in a dynamic faculty team to design, develop, implement, and review teaching and learning programs and assessments.
Capacity to use current educational research and data including formative assessment, to inform quality teaching practice.
Demonstrated ability to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments that engage students with a diverse range of student learning needs including HPG and EAL/D.
