THE ROLE


The Operations Manager is a key leadership position, responsible for the smooth and effective operations of the allocated property or properties.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and manage resource levels to deliver highquality customer service and operations.
  • Oversee and deliver onsite training for new customer service team members
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Manage the collection, distribution, and ongoing development of all relevant reporting requirements related to the portfolio.
  • In liaison with the Facilities team, manage the preparation and expenditure of facilities management budgets (both operational and capital expenditure).
  • Management of customer arrears that meet the identified company target.
  • Control of costs that deliver an under or onbudget performance.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted shortterm and longterm revenue targets.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a customer service/operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading through an environment of change.
  • Prior experience in managing teams with strong leadership experience.
  • Monitoring and controlling financials in accordance with set budgets.
  • Experience in site operations in a highly customer focussed industry.
  • Able to balance strategic planning with the ability to be practical and handson to ensure effective and timely implementation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in hospitality, accommodation, services, hotel, and retail industries.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, without compromising accuracy and customer service.
  • Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management systems.
  • Exceptional conflict resolution skills.
  • Formal qualification, preferably in hotel or business management (desirable).
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check; and Qualified in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid or willing to participate in training.
