The opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Functional Lead to join our Technology Services team.

As a Functional Lead you will own and lead to help build out our Customer Communication & Content Management (CCM) platform.

Working closely with Partners, Software Engineers, and IT professionals, you become the leading technical expert supporting Value Stream business analysts to elaborate sufficiently detailed requirements.

You will understand processes, integrated with technology systems, whilst working within an 'Agile' framework.

The role will take a natural lead on mentoring other analysts on analysis techniques and providing team members with support through greater insurance industry and IT experience.


Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the interface and point of liaison between Business Analysts and the IT team to undertake analysis into designated areas from a business solution, IT system or process perspective to identify problems, challenges, or opportunities.
  • Support Business Analysts and other team members across all Value Streams to elicit, elaborate and capture better quality and sufficiently detailed functional requirements
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of the strategic technical roadmap for the given domain along with architects and heads of technology
  • Support the business to define UAT test cases.
  • Participate in defect triage and prioritization, and address any requirements defects, changes or questions that come out of QA testing
  • Actively drive and participate with other disciplines within IT to ensure that solutions are aligned to both business and IT strategy
Your story so far


You will have demonstrated experience in in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products and prior experience in operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.

You will have good understanding of the structure of an IT department, it's environment and solutions, plans and strategies.


Other requirements include:

  • Strong knowledge of OpenText Exstream or similar
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle WCC or similar
  • Good Communication and stake holder management
  • Must be competent in working in 'Agile' working environments.
  • 5+ years in similar tech service environment within related industries
