Position Overview


As the Head of Marketplace, your primary responsibilities will include leading the commercial, strategic, and operational performance of the Marketplace business, owning and being accountable for TT Marketplace P&L results, developing specific strategies to ensure TT Marketplace achieves budgeted volume, revenue, and EBIDTA targets, devising content/inventory strategies to ensure TT Marketplace carries a broad range of inventory across all genres and promoter sources, managing key stakeholders including brokers, promoters, venues, and internal teams, collaborating with development project managers and wider Tech, marketing, and operational teams during the initial launch phase to meet specific launch timeframes and milestones, and building the TT marketplace team in line with agreed project timeframes.


About the Role

Commercial leadership

  • P&L ownership with a specific focus on achievement of budgeted EBITDA result.
  • Lead project development team and ensure that Marketplace platform is delivered to deadline and according to agreed project scope.
  • Provide regular visibility of businesses position re cash flow and inventory management
  • Broker relationship, engagement and management

Sales

  • Develops specific strategies to support the achievement of revenue targets
  • Develop appropriate reporting metrics to ensure full visibility to key drivers of TT Marketplace activity and results.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage key relationships within the industry, specifically brokers, promoters, producers and other inventory owners.
  • Where necessary, and always in conjunction with MD Ticketek, venue engagement.

Marketing

  • Develop digital Marketing & Communication strategy leveraging TEG Digital business platform and expertise.
  • Develop TT Marketplace marketing (working with TT marketing) to ensure successful launch and widespread awareness of platform and unique proposition.

Leadership

  • Provide strategic, commercial and operational leadership necessary to achieve TT Marketplace objectives.
  • Finalise policies, practices and procedures to ensure TT Marketplace is operating at high performance level.
  • Leadership and management of TT Marketplace Customer Service, Marketing, Operations and Finance teams.

Reporting

  • Develop TT Marketplace reporting processes ensuring full visibility to TT Marketplace financial, operational and marketing activity.

Customer Service

  • Resource and deliver industry leading Customer Service to ensure that the TT Marketplace secondary ticketing channel of choice for Ticketek primary customers

About You

  • Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management
  • Proven strategic planning and execution skills Commercial acumen and project management skills
  • Strong presence and the experience to present at board level
  • A motivational leader who is passionate and will appeal to the next generation of employees
  • Self starter, takes initiative and prioritizes
  • Comfortable driving action when there is ambiguity
  • Always reviews their work and provides sound attention to detail
  • Track record of devising and implementing business plans to deliver growth and open new opportunities
  • Proven record of leading sales contract negotiations and/or sales teams.
  • Previous experience with financial accountability
  • Worked in a similar position, or will have worked in an advisory capacity enabling businesses on their adoption of commercial strategies
  • Demonstrated experience and proven track record of leading a business agenda and understanding the competing areas of creativity and commerciality in a business of similar scale, profile and complexity, ideally in the advertising, media or entertainment industries
  • Business development skills

  • Excellent problem solving and analytic skills
