Based at our well-appointed workshop in Donald, Victoria, we are seeking a dedicated Senior Mechanic to take the lead on pre-season and in-season maintenance for our extensive range of farming equipment.

Boasting a fleet of 17 John Deere headers (S780, S790, S680), two trucks with double B trailers, two tractors and chaser bins, two service trucks, five work Utes, and an 80t mother bin.

You will be responsible for prioritising and scheduling work in close consultation with our Operations Manager, identifying necessary parts for ordering, and providing training to other team members.

Strong communication skills are essential as you liaise with appointed team leaders at our client's harvesting operations to diagnose faults and provide recommendations to fix problems.

BB Harvesting, founded by brothers James and Leigh Burke in 2010, has grown to become a premier provider of contract harvesting services across a vast area from southern Queensland to southern Victoria.

Our operation covers approximately 40,000 hectares annually and includes a diverse client base, from significant corporations to large and small family farms.

The successful applicant will have significant experience with John Deere headers and diesel mechanics, demonstrating a meticulous approach to their work.
