Salary Range:
$118,220 - $129,820 + Attractive Superannuation


Open Arms - Veterans & Families Counselling (formerly VVCS) is Australia's leading provider of high quality mental health assessment and clinical counselling services for Australian veterans and their families.

Open Arms are focused on meeting client needs through a combination of proven clinical practices and new and emerging evidence-based approaches.


Duties

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team inclusive of operational supervision and performance management of employees to ensure their ability to meet service delivery requirements.
  • Ensure all clinical work undertaken in the region is conducted in accordance with the governance requirements of Open Arms.
  • Articulate Open Arms vision, strategic and operational goals to staff and translate into practice.
  • Build the capacity of staff to undertake their roles efficiently and professionally to meet expected standards of service and quality. Identify and contribute to continuous business improvement and lead change in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Monitor and drive the implementation of quality assurance relating to client engagement and satisfaction, clinical auditing, and business support and practices.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships within and across the Branch, Division and Department. Support the Regional Director to maintain strategic alliances with Defence, Ex-Service organisations, government agencies, and other service providers.
  • Support workplace practices in line with policies of Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Diversity, the Australian Public Service Values and Employment Principles, and Code of Conduct.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen to apply.
  • Qualifications as a registered Psychologist / Mental Health Occupational Therapist / Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration,

This recruitment process is being used to fill an ongoing and Non-ongoing positions.


Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 12 months.


A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
