The Role
Make a difference in our community
The Rural Land Protection Officer promotes sustainable land management by implementing the Pest Plant Local Law education and compliance program and supporting the Rural Land Management program.
These programs aim to enhance biodiversity, soil and water health and prevent the spread of pest plants in the rural community.
About you
The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and demonstrated experience in environmental weed management and land rehabilitation practices. You will have excellent plant identification skills and knowledge of local land management issues.
Your highly effective communication skills will engage and educate landowners on sustainable land management practices as well as manage compliance breaches under the Pest Plant Local Law.
