Assistant Director - Mawson Before and After School Care Program

Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for a full-time Assistant Director at our Mawson Before and After School Care Program to help us run our day-to-day operations.

This position does not require regular split shifts.


Make a real difference


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant director (or experienced Lead Educator ready for their next step) to assist the Mawson Team.

The program is licensed for 99 children and provides a warm, friendly environment with excellent care and education through an inclusive play-based curriculum.


In this role, you will support the Centre Director in the day-to-day management of the program and ensure all Educators, Families and Children are welcomed and feel a sense of belonging.


Core duties:

  • Establish and nurture respectful relationships with children, families and staff.
  • Support your team to provide engaging learning environments that allow children to think critically and direct their own learning while ensuring the overall health, wellbeing and safety of all children attending the service.
  • Further develop partnerships with local agencies and community groups.
  • Ensure that daytoday operational, financial, human resource and marketing management of the service is conducted in line with organisation policies and procedures.

What you will bring to the team


To succeed in this role, you will possess
Diploma qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Out of School Hours Care and demonstrated experience Assistant Director or Lead Educator.


Moreover, you will have the
knowledge and understanding of how a OSHC Program operates and can effectively provide guidance and expertise to our educators.


You will be a proactive and organised individual who can comfortably work in a fast-paced environment.

This role will see you building strong relationships with our educators, the children in our care and their families.

This will ensure that we continue providing quality services and that our children are set up for a bright and successful future.
