This is an outstanding opportunity to join a prominent award-winning Australian Superannuation Fund who are renowned for their great working culture and have continued to deliver strong long term investment returns for their members.


Reporting to the Head of Sustainable Investments, this position will take a lead role in the implementation of the group's Sustainable Investing Policy to ensure that it upholds high standards of incorporating the analysis of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors in its investment process.


As a key member of the Investments team, this role will provide great exposure across all asset classes with no barriers on where you can take ESG/sustainable investment practices and initiatives across the portfolio.


Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain sustainable investments policies and procedures.
  • Conduct sustainable investment reviews prior to appointment of new investment managers.
  • Review the sustainable investment practices of appointed investment managers to assess compliance with the Fund's Sustainable Investment Policy.
  • Identify and analyse emerging ESG risks and opportunities. Advise and collaborate with investment team members on the incorporation of ESG factors into investment processes.
  • Engage with ASX listed investee companies on ESG matters and participate in proxy voting in conjunction with internal portfolio managers and Investment Operations.
  • Develop and maintain stewardship reporting such as the Sustainable Investment Bulletin
  • Maintain and implement the Fund's Climate Change Action Plan including publishing of an annual TCFD report.
  • Engage with industry bodies such as ACSI, UNPRI, IGCC, Climate Action100+ and RIAA
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Senior Analyst, overseeing quality of deliverables.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a Finance or Business related discipline with post graduate qualifications preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in institutional investing, financial markets or relevant consulting arena with experience in Responsible Investment / ESG practices as they relate to Superannuation and / or Investment Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams, both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, research and analytical skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise work and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously whilst working as part of a highfunctioning team
