Our client fast-growing FMCG company located in major Australian cities specializing in the importing and distribution of Asian food products to Australian and New Zealand markets.
An opportunity exists in Western Sydney, for an experienced Marketing Assistant to work in a fast-paced environment.Position Profile:
Support the Sales and Marketing team on a daily basis.
Assist in the production of advertising, marketing brochures, or other promotional materials.
Coordinate marketing/ promotional events eg. Food shows, festivals, media announcements, product demonstrations, etc.
Reporting of the company's sales performance through the use of appropriate marketing reports.
Database development and maintenance.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Marketing and Promotions
Work with the Sales & Marketing team and contribute new product launch ideas and implement marketing concepts.
Identify advertising opportunities and in-store promotion opportunities. Participate in or conduct promotional exhibitions if the opportunity presents itself or when required.
Support the development and distribution of marketing and sales materials.
Assist in the production of advertising, marketing brochures, or other promotional materials.
Liaison with printers for advertising artwork design to ensure all deadlines are met and work with administrators to ensure prices remain competitive.
Manage the end-to-end process of competitions, lucky draws, and communication with suppliers on expectations and artwork.
Marketing Research
Conduct market research and report on current market trends, new products, and industry trends;
Conduct competitor analysis and report on competitor activities;
Conduct consumer analysis; identify consumer (end users) and customers' (retails and food services) needs and recommend appropriate product ranges to achieve profitable growth;
Design questionnaires and conduct marketing surveys to better understand consumers' buying preferences, their perception of products, etc.;
Visit stores for best/worst seller meetings.
Website management
Maintain the company's website and ensure all content is up to date.
Database development and maintenance.
Sales Reporting
Reporting of the company's sales performance through the use of appropriate marketing reports.
Customer Service
Assistance with the handling of telephone inquiries related to the company's products and services.
General Administration
Perform clerical and administrative support duties for the department including filing, maintenance of records and files, and other duties as required by your Manager.
Skills Required
Proven marketing administration experience
Chinese speaking skills
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent telephone manner
A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision
Self-motivation, driven and proactive
A team player
Exposure to the food industry is desirable
