We currently have an opportunity for a Learning & Development professional to join our team at Carrum Downs, to continue delivering our focus on quality, safety and exceeding our customers' expectations.


As a member of the newly formed national Learning & Development (L&D) team you will work closely with the Site Management and People & Culture teams to deliver the national L&D strategy on a local level.

As we develop and evolve the strategy into the digital space, you will have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of our people, now and into the future.


As the newest member of our growing L&D team, your primary responsibility will be to provide and promote training and coaching that ensures all employees are inducted and trained to the highest level of expertise and behavioural competency; allowing them to perform their roles safely and to exemplary quality standards.


Role responsibilities include:

Facilitate on-boarding with our National Induction Program for new hires across the business and provide a high level of support to new employees following induction for a minimum of three months
Conduct ongoing training that ensures our employees have the required skills and behaviours to do their jobs to the required standard
Review and update Work Instructions (WI) and SOPs in line with site operations requirements and national directives
Working with the National L&D Manager, establish and maintain a quality Buddy Trainer program to work with department leads, delivering relevant competency training to new and existing production and warehouse employees
Provide support to buddy trainers, monitoring buddy training performance ensuring compliance with procedures to ensure the required quality training is being achieved
Confidently deliver training and coaching using varying techniques and adult learning principles
Schedule, deliver and assess competency outcomes of the national training program, ensuring required training is scheduled and delivered in consultation with management, being mindful of operational requirements
Monitor feedback and effectiveness of training providing feedback to the National L&D Manager to maximise continuous improvement opportunities
Champion the site training matrix and ensure all training records are kept up to date
Provide reports on a monthly basis outlining delivered and planned training activities
Work with the L&D team on national projects and initiatives


To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Experience in coaching and training delivery
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or other appropriate qualifications
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to influence the team to achieve high engagement and drive business results
Be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine passion for learning, development and continuous improvement
Solid proficiency with MS Office and desktop computer programs
Ability to quickly become proficient regarding Lite n' Easy operations, products, services, systems, processes and procedures
