Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is an established not-for-profit organisation specialising in the accreditation and regulation of exercise and sports science professionals.


Based in Hamilton, this peak leading authority provides industry leadership through advocacy, research, education and regulation to support the industry and the Australian community in becoming a more active nation.


As the Research Program Advisor, you will play a critical role in strengthening the links between ESSA and research institutions, non-governmental organisations and funding bodies.

You will build the capacity of ESSA to embed best practice research principles and foster a commitment to robust, transparent and innovative applied and clinical research projects consistent with ESSA's priorities, policies, relevant regulations, legislation and codes of practice.


In addition, you will lead the operational requirements of the ESSA Research and Publications Committees in accordance with annual work plans.

You will oversee and contribute to the governance of these committees and strengthen the link between the ESSA Research Strategy, the outcomes of ESSA supported research and ESSA priority setting.
