The Job Opportunity


You will be working with the current admin team to consolidate the companies finances, inputting various expenses from different locations and assigning them appropriately in the accounting software, and will also be assisting with payroll fortnightly.

General Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable/account receivable.
  • Utilising various software such as Nightingale, Deputy and Employment Hero.
  • Knowledge of Xero accounting software and collaboration between this software and those listed above.
  • Data entry and maintenance.
  • Keeping record of, and utilising company documents to properly associate funding within varied locations/clients.
  • Maintaining staff and clients files and meeting with privacy, ethics and confidentiality agreements.
  • Superannuation and long service leave.
  • Knowledge of preparation of BAS and assigning funding appropriately with government systems such as correlating information between the company and the NDIS.
  • Shared reception duties involving speaking to all stakeholders and assisting where you can, referring them to other staff members where applicable and ensuring their requests are being met in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with approval of timesheets when needed, ensuring shift times are met and investigating any discrepancies with other employees before processing their payroll.
  • General shared admin duties.

Qualifications & experience

  • Preferred previous experience in bookkeeping and payroll.
  • Preferred completed study in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
  • Preferred experience with the NDIS and knowledge of fund allocations and utilisation of said funds.
  • Problem solving skills related to ensuring shifts being paid in payroll are accurate before approving.
  • Fully COVID vaccinated.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Module completion.
  • Appropriate working rights in Australia.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to complaints, feedback and issues from clients and staff from a variety of backgrounds and instigate resolutions.
  • Prioritisation and time management skills, assisting with task delegation between the team to ensure appropriate resolutions when needed.
  • The ability to understand the SCHADS award and answer any questions regarding payroll that staff may have.
  • Liasoning with rostering regarding staff meeting contracted hours, enquiring about overtime etc.

Salary:
$55, $70,000.00 per year
